We took Anika yesterday to the circus at Campbell park. Trimbak and Shivangi were there too with Siya. I was very skeptical about whether she would sit through the 2 hours, but to our surprise she did, and also enjoyed it despite there being no animal acts.
She sat comfortably on my lap throughout the show and even had a short nap. And yes, had her first tastes of popcorn and candy floss too!
She loved the jumping acts, because whenever the acrobats jumped, she wanted to jump too! :)
The highlight for her though was when Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and Bullseye entered the arena. She loved watching Bullseye, horsie being one of her favourite animals. I'm thinking I should put on the Toy Story DVD for her to watch some time.
She enjoyed the joker and his antics too!
I was hoping there will be a dog act at least, because am sure she would have just gone crazy. But there were no animals, never mind though, we are going to take her to a farm on one of the coming weekends.
I wonder how children develop interests at such an early age. She loves dogs so much, her face literally lights up whenever she sees one. I'm dreading the fact that we might have to get her one as a pet when she is a bit older :))) At ToysRUs a few weeks ago, when I took her to buy a rocker, she actually pointed at the doggie one rather than the horsie. So had to buy her that. All kids have a rocking horse, but bebu has a rocking dog :)
